What perfect weather we are having....time to light up some candles!! And tonight I am testing a newbie I am about to add to my new boutique..frosted cupcakes..yummy!!

Ladies, I just wanted to thank you to each of you that have visited my new little shop in Athens. I was so excited about opening that I thought I had a plan on decorating...well it's all changed now. I love the beautiful comments that I received, but so many were just seeing the baby and little girl stuff that the ladies' glamorous jewelry was being overlooked. So, I called in some help. The store is completely re-decorated. So, if you saw it before, you need to come back and see it again.

I have added more beautiful jewelry, glittered scarves, fabulous knit hats, leopard "french" style hats, home decor items and some elegant Jessica McClintock animal print throws...they are gorgeous!! And won't last long, I only have 2 left in the store.

I took a few pictures to share....and of course posting this while I watch the Rangers!!!

New boutique in Athens, TX

It's been a fun, exciting~yet tiring few weeks and there seems to be little time to relax. But, that's what it's all about when you are trying to achieve your dream. The last 3 years looking for employment has finally showed me that it's time to throw in the towel, wasting gas and time on something that just isn't going to happen. However, this time was spent making stuff on the peanuts that I managed to gather along the way.

The space I maintained in Mesquite is no longer available and the items are now at the new boutique. Everything was great until everybody decided to carry the same items, gas increased, it was way too hot and the drive was just too much for me to handle.

So, while preparing for school I stumbled upon an opportunity that I just couldn't resist. I feel like I've just gambled my life away~but I think it will be okay....just one day at a time. Anything is better than NO income and surviving on child support for the next 8 years and it decreasing as each turns 18.

I officially opened last Friday (Sept 23) and have already met some wonderful people. I am still waiting on the signs...and people are having a hard time finding the shop. It is located just before Super 8 on Hwy 175 and directly across the street from the TVEC facility. The building is a small beige building and in between The Escape and the Uncommon Salon..

The shop has debuted with my fabulous candles, melts, girly gifts, jewelry for all aged girls and women, hand-made cards and gift tags. We also specialize in hats and scarves for the upcoming winter season...colorful array of styles and designs. There are many treasures to be found in this store and have so many plans for fun stuff in the future and for the holidays.

New boutique

I've been searching high and low for a place closer to home to sell my items. The 1+year wait for the area of Canton has just about exhausted me to death. Perhaps they don't want my items there~anyway, I give up on returning to Canton as a vendor.

My Mesquite booth has been too difficult to maintain because of the distance. All year I have been designing stuff and stock piling waiting for an affordable place in Athens. And it's really scary, since so many places have closed around here in the last month. But, I am ready and have found a new location that is affordable for me to start over with and see what happens...stay tuned for more details.

I am officially a hooker now....LOL!

Yes, I can actually say that I am now a hooker!! Thanks to my grandmother and mom, I have joined the knitters club. HaHa!! had you going for a minute...

For many years my grandmother has crocheted and knitted so many adorable items as gifts for the family. It wasn't until a few years ago that we decided to sell her hats and scarves along with my stuff. I sold a few here and there and just last Fall they really started to sell and we got many orders. Unfortunately, I had to turn down wholesale orders since I only had my grandmother knitting and couldn't fill the items requested alone.

But, now I am on board and I can say I am an addict. I just started a week ago, and can't seem to get anything done around my house!! My average is 2-3 hats per day~and just can't stop! Like I need more projects. Oh well...the mess will have to wait because it's also a great stress reliever.

I am now going to start advertising for wholesale to gift shops or individuals looking to sell them. My funky, cute, artsy self has added my own personal touch to make mine a bit different from the competition.

Thanks for looking and help to spread the word if anyone wants them for their shops!!!

Baby Hats

Here are a few more baby hats that we have just completed. I plan on searching through my many tubs and see if there is anything else I can add to sell before we wrap up hat sales this season. My grandmother, Nittin' Nannie, makes hats all year long. So if you are interested in buying them for next season, feel free to send me a message.

The hats shown are for either baby boys or girls ages 3 to 6 months~we are getting lots of requests for boys lately and can take an order. We have been so busy with adult and toddler hats this year, the boys have taken a back seat. And I have boys!! New to the boy line are footballs~we shall see what else pops up soon....

Oh, the fun I am having taking pictures of all my hats and scarves with my new models. I just wish I had a better camera and longer hours in the day! Ladies, I have around 6 tubs full of goodies that no one has even seen yet. The bulk of my inventory is baby and toddler hats~and still looking for the right baby dolls to model them with or if anyone wants to donate some, I would appreciate it!

Whew, I am so glad this week is almost over!! Last Sunday was crazy picking up the house a little bit from the kids being home on Friday's snow day. Then, hopped in the car to head to Mesquite to re-stock my booth, shop and pick up kids to watch the Superbowl. My son wanted to stay at my mom's until half-time and then head home. It was a fast hour drive home to finish watching the exciting game. Although, I wasn't really all that impressed with the commercials for this year.

Monday was my day to clean my grandmother's house (as I do every 2 weeks). As soon as I finished, I had to purchase my cleaning supplies for the week for my household. Somehow, I managed a 2 hour nap very late that afternoon~I was very tired for some reason. After checking all my regular sites, I totally forgot to check my e-mail and suprisingly I had an Etsy order. Yeah!! I really haven't put alot of my time adding ALL my stuff, because I haven't had any luck at all for years with a regular website. I believe people want to see it, feel it, smell it...in order to buy something. So, I processed the order and got it ready to ship before more bad weather was to hit again on Wednesday. Later in the evening, I got another order~yeah again!!!!!

So, Tuesday was to be a busy day! Get these orders out, cause you never know what is going to happen with the weather in Texas. And wouldn't you know, I was out of bubble wrap and had to search several stores in Athens to find some. Then it was off to the grocery store, since I didn't go over the weekend. When I got home, I learned we had lots of hat orders to fill!! Yeah, again!! The school bus drivers went nuts over the maroon and white hats in this cold weather. They are really warm, fuzzy and truly protect your head~I get really hot wearing mine. And with the scarf, I am on fire!! Anyway, my grandmother knocks at my door and hands me a black bag and said look inside. Fearing for what's inside, I hesitated! It was 6 mannequin heads from the beauty school~thank the Lord!! I have needed some hat models, now I have plenty!! But they are scaring the kids!!

Wednesday, guess what folks? We were passed up again on the weather~kids in school, but Dallas got some more ice. I think there is a bubble around Athens, cause we don't get anything around here. But, more good news~more hat orders!! When it's this cold, the word has finally gotten out where to get some great hats and scarves.

Thursday, I spent cleaning and organizing...not that it does much good. Then it's back to the store~still trying to replenish all the things I lost when I moved over a year ago. $$, easy come, easy go!!! Hello Subway for dinner~I am worn out!!

Yesterday I decided to get out and shop a bit since the kids are home this weekend. I visited my friend at her new boutique and got some materials for a newborn hat order. No nap today! Around 4, I started taking lots of pictures with my new models. I spent about an hour cropping and loading them to my Etsy shop. And after the kids got home, it got even more crazy!! A bunch of teenagers showed up and as of now (Saturday night) they are still here!! They managed to let us get just a few hours of sleep and they were back. I truly feel like I am about to just collapse of a heart attack. Don't people understand I am a single mom? Why are you sending your kids to my house 24/7~I already have 4!! God is really testing me and my patience tonight.

And after all this, I still didn't mention that there is a sale going on in my booth!!! 25% off everything thru Valentines Day!! There are still a few valentines candles left.

Sorry, I rambled and hope you understand that I am alone in this city and have no one to talk to for relief. Therefore, you had to suffer and read my crazy week~and I didn't even mention everything!! LOL!!!

New Booth Pictures

Thank you to my customers for your support through the Holiday season and all the changes I made for improvements. I was able to move to a bigger space at the antique mall and I couldn't be more excited about the results!! More traffic, sales and can focus on bringing you more items while they sell themselves.

It has always been a dream to own another store, but at this point in my life...I also really enjoy shopping too!!! There are so many places I want to visit and not able to if I am in a store 5 or 6 days a week. I have met so many new good people that are in business for themselves and run it pretty much all the time and they are exhausted!! I am already exhausted and don't need any additional stress to add to my life being a single mom. My kids are my #1 priority and what I do now enables us the best lifestyle at this time.

I did get a call about my wait for the space I want in Canton...but the spaces available were a bit too large for me at this time. So many of my friends already have spots out there and didn't want to expand to another location. In the meantime, I will wait for the perfect opportunity for me and remain at The Antique Gallery of Mesquite~I am happy with being there. And I finally took some pictures this week of just a small bit of what I have to offer my customers.

Saturday Night....blues~or not?

You never know what plans might change around my house~with 4 kids, life is crazy!! The antique mall where I sell my stuff is at was having a vendor Christmas party tonight (right now as a matter of fact). And I am really bummed out that I couldn't be there. And being a single mom, I was really wishing to be apart of the gift exchange. After all, it will probably be the only "real" gift I receive..but it's okay, I will live.

We have Christmas in the Park tonight at the Cain Center. My daughter is there singing in the choir and my grandmother couldn't make it cause one of my kiddo's gave her the stomach virus that is going around....Yuck!! My grandfather was working today to look out after my other kids and since I can't clone myself to be in multiple places at the same time...I went back to work on my hat and jewelry pictures. Maybe, I can sell some of these lovely pieces before Christmas.

I am trying to have a last minute holiday sale at my house next Saturday, so if you are in East Texas~stay tuned for more details. I just got a few special orders and learned of a needy single mom and 2 girls that I need help with Christmas gifts this year. Since I have lots of stuff...it does my heart good to know I can help out. This family is up north and I am glad....cause I have lots of hats and scarves to spare. Simply wonderfully scented candles

Like I promised, I am frantically trying to take pictures in time for Christmas gifts! My candle inventory has been reduced to only the best sellers. At one time, I had over 200 fragrances to select from when I had my store in Rowlett. That was very hard to keep up with and juggle a family and be a single mom at the same time.

I have added some really awesome fragrances and if you haven't tried them....well, you are missing out!! With over 11 years experience I have totally mastered the art of candles! They are truly house warmers, more affordable, have the ability to make custom colors, offer them wholesale and for fundraisers! I have helped so many organizations raise lot of $$$. Fabulous newborn hats

The projects never cease to end around here...and the Christmas decorations are still scattered all over the house waiting to be put "somewhere". And the laundry is really pilled up high today...but I also am taking pictures of all the new stuff I have for sale!!

My booth in Mesquite is packed and so is my house and would really LOVE to sell these adorable items!! I am taking a break from the decorating to get items posted to my Etsy shop. This morning I posted a few candles, lots of domino necklaces and a few hats for newborns and toddlers~the hats are tooooo cute!!

Please feel free to help out my family this year and spread the word about my affordable, cute handmade items!! Moving to a new city last year has really been difficult getting new neighbors interested~you are really missing out on the best candles you will ever burn!!

The newborn hats are hand~made by my grandmother and I decorate them in my own funky way...hope you enjoy them.

Athens Christmas in the Park

I am a proud mother to announce that my daughter and grandmother will be participants in this years' event singing in the choir...Blessings to All!!

Christmas in the Park is a community event in Athens put on collectively by the Athens Community Churches working together to share with all of Henderson County the story of the Nativity. It will be held at Cain Center Park for the second year on December 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th. There will be several nightly performances for all ages. A special handicap accessible performance will be available each night.
Last year we had over 3,000 people from our community experience Christmas in the Park featuring a community choir and orchestra, petting zoo, camels and dramatic experience of soldiers and shepherds. This year we are adding more to the experience and making many new improvements. Come be a part of Christmas in the Park Athens. Thank you ladies who attended the Grand Opening last Saturday! I understand it was an eventful day with the fabulous food, bounce house and fun!!

But, I (Simply Glowing Gifts) will no longer have my items at the Athens store (TuTu Darn Cute)..sorry, for the incovenience . I made some quick decisions and life happened during this time and I am unable to continue this venture at this time.

However, you can still shop my online boutique via Etsy.....or at The Antique Gallery of Mesquite. As of yesterday, I moved to a larger booth at this location. My booth is on the first isle on the backside endcap~and it looks fabulous!!! I have tons more items than my previous booth and was already getting compliments (and sales) as I was setting up...this was a good move!!

Vintage flapper hats

Well, while the girls are selling our goodies at the Cain Center today I decided to take some pictures of our new store!! My latest creations are the adorable flapper hats!! I have so many to take pictures and post, but I took so many on my phone that it's about to die now and I forgot my charger. So, please bare with me for a few days until I can get that taken care of....

How is everyone's weekend? There are tons of activities going on this weekend~Holiday gift shows, etc. I am ready for the home tours..the highlight of my year. Visiting other peoples' homes (while I'm getting mine ready), gives me tons of inspiration and wonderful ideas to change my stuff up a bit.

Not enough hours in the day...

We or I rather can take a deep breath after getting the boutique open last week....on the other hand that doesn't mean it's relax to the sofa either. Today's plan is to get some of my house re-organized and get ready for the Holidays. Just one more week until the kids are out of school and I get to see my baby again....well, she's not really a baby anymore. She is about to be 18 and extremely talented. ( I wonder who she gets that from?) Britt can draw anything by simply looking at it, and actually her's ends up better than the original....more detailed.
We have some canvas pieces to work on and can't wait to share her artwork.

In addition to the other things I design...I dabble in floral designs too!! The Holiday season really peaks my talents because I can be overkill on the home decorating. I want my children to cherish the memories that I am creating for their futures. Break out the homemade cookies, decorations and let the sparkle begin!!

Ladies....my dream has come true (again)!!! A few of the wonderful ladies I have met at Athens Farmer's Market have been talkin' and dreamin' of opening a specialty boutique and it is coming true!!!!

Oh, I have prayed for this for so long!!! We are signing the lease today and will get started cleaning, sewing, decorating and what not to get this shop open by November 1st. Watch for Grand Opening Announcements and Sales!!!!

Purple Sunday

Everybody speaks of their "pink" day....well, I am going to be different today! I am declaring today purple Sunday~you may ask why purple?

All of my shows for the past several months have been requests for purple jewelry. I began looking at specialty boutiques, Canton Trade Days, etc.....hardly anyone has purple jewelry. And now I know why people are asking for it~there are plenty of handbags, clothes and other accessories available...but hardly any purple jewelry. Even google didn't produce much of anything to help either.

So, my new mission was born~on the hunt for purple beads and embellishments to design with..I do love to shop! Here are a few of my designs that I have made...minus what I already sold and didn't get a chance to photograph....Happy Purple Sunday!!

Pumpkin People

Halloween Decoration: Pumpkin People How-to

While your neighbors decorate their porches with the same old ghoulish goblins, try something different by perching your carved pumpkins atop scarecrows! Outfit them in old clothing and prop them in fun poses to greet trick-or-treaters.

Skill level: Beginner

Materials:
Old pillowcases
Old clothes (dress, shawl, shirt, overalls, boots)
Bale of hay or straw
Scissors
Long wooden tomato stakes
Spool of floral wire
Pumpkins
Pumpkin-carving kit
Carrots
Hats as desired
Hot-glue gun and glue sticks
Tall tin bucket filled with sand
Rocking chair

Directions:

1. For Ma, place pillowcase inside dress, open side down; fill with hay. For Pa, button shirt; place pillowcase inside shirt, open side down, and fill with hay.

2. Cut hole in center top of each case; poke tomato stake through so it extends at top and bottom. Cut 12 inches of wire; wrap tightly around bottom of case to hold stake in place.

3. For Ma, use wire to fasten another stake to lower end of first stake so stake extends below hem of dress

4. For Pa, place shirt in overalls; stuff legs lightly with hay.

5. Carve pumpkin heads as desired. Poke hole in center front; insert carrot nose. Poke hole in bottom; place pumpkin head on stake.

6. Glue hats on heads.

7. For Ma, use wire to secure another stake across neck for shoulders; drape shawl over shoulders. Place bottom stake in bucket of sand.

8. Seat Pa in chair; arrange legs as desired and add more stuffing. Place boots below legs; add hay around boot tops.

Skeleton Cupcakes

Skeleton Cupcakes

Recipe Ingredients

1 box (18.25 oz) devil's food cake mix
1 1/2 cups lowfat buttermilk
3 large eggs
1/4 cup canola oil
2 cans (16 oz each) dark chocolate frosting
Decoration: black gel or paste food color, 24 marshmallows, 24 (4-in.) thin breadsticks (grissini) or lollipop sticks, a clean artist's brush, 24 grape fruit leather snacks (like FruitaBu), black decorating sugar, red nonpareil candies

Recipe Preparation

1. Heat oven to 350°F. You'll need 24 regular-size muffin cups lined with paper, foil or Halloween-themed liners.2. Beat cake mix, buttermilk, eggs and oil in large bowl with mixer on medium speed 2 minutes or until just blended. Divide batter between muffin cups (1/4 cup batter per cup).3. Bake 24 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack 15 minutes before removing cupcakes to rack to cool completely.4. Tint chocolate frosting black with food color; frost cupcakes.5. To decorate: Slightly flatten marshmallows with palm of your hand. Insert a broken length of breadstick or lollipop stick into each marshmallow. Place some black frosting in a microwave-safe custard cup and microwave about 5 seconds, until thin and runny. Paint skeleton faces onto marshmallows with a fine paintbrush.6. Using the photo as a guide, cut fruit leather into bat wings with scissors; press in decorating sugar to coat. Roll fruit leather scraps into small balls, then shape into bat heads with ears; coat heads in sugar. Attach 2 nonpareil candies for eyes with a dab of frosting.7. To assemble: Using photo as guide, stand bat wings upright in frosting on top of cupcakes. Insert a skeleton head behind wings into middle of cupcake. Attach a bat head in middle of wings with frosting.Plan Ahead: You can bake cupcakes 2 weeks ahead and freeze. Frost and decorate up to 1 day ahead, cover and keep at room temperature.

Soul searching

It's been a busy several weeks. The kids are playing football, performing in choir concerts and keeping the schedule flowing with "things to do". During this time, I have been spending organizing, cleaning and re-arranging my home decor. Every few months, I have to change things up a bit. This time I think the living room is better for our lifestyle and ready to do some home shows! Finally have some room!!

I spend so much time on facebook playing games that I just can't seem to break free of....Help!! I have even considered deleting my account and spending more time here and sharing positive things instead of countless hours wasted on silly games. It's been great to re-connect with friends and long distance family~but it's not like we talk everyday anyway.

Now that the workspace and living space are better arranged...its back to work. I have sold so many pieces of jewelry and still haven't posted alot of the new stuff. Some, I didn't even get the chance too!! In thinking of the future, I am working on a complete new concept for 2011! I have just about given up on finding a job and the little I live on is just simply depressing. I have such wonderful talents and had a successful candle business before my divorce and just can't seem to get my groove back! And moving to East Texas, didn't help much. There are soooo many people selling the same type of stuff that I have....time for a change!!

The few people I have met are busy with their work and/or going back to school also and just don't have the time to spend shopping and just hanging out together. So, I just devote my time to my kids and my jewelry, candles, paintings and whatever else I can get involved in....it just sucks being lonely!! But, I am happy and I guess that's all that matters!

Cotton Candy Collection

It's been a while since my last post~sorry!! The kiddo's are settled into school now and I am still trying to find the carpet under all the army toys in the living room. Well, that's a never ending story in my house~too many kids around here! As long as the sink is empty, clothes are washed and the bathroom is clean is most important to me...the rest can let be....

I have been super busy designing all kinds of new stuff and don't know where to start with the posting. The job search has still been unsuccessful~even something part time~so, it's that time of year to create and try my best to sell what I can, after all it's what I do best!! Not sure where God is taking me, and trust that this is what I am supposed to be doing (and be home for my kids) with my life. Words can't describe how thankful I am that I have a talent to do so many things~just wished that more of the public could see my beautiful items and spread the word....

In honor of the State Fair of Texas beginning next week, I came up with the name Cotton Candy for these items listed. I have always loved cotton candy and as you know...I LOVE PINK!!! Therefore, what a neat combination~pink crackle beads, pearls, turquoise beads, rhinestones, hearts and crosses are featured in my latest collection. Get em' fast...I posted them on facebook today and getting rave reviews!!

This last weekends' Farmers Market

Last Saturdays' (Athens Farmers Market~8-28-10) was a blast! Every last Saturday of the month there is some major excitement going on!! We had a band perform and played some 60-70's classic rock from Stevie Ray Vaughn, Credence Clearwater Revival, Van Morrison and so many more great tunes. Everyone was dancing and singing having a marvelous time!!!

There was a salsa contest~it was hard to decide and sorry, I missed who did actually win. We also had the TVCC cheerleaders and their cardinal mascot performing. The morning started out perfect~temperature wise...but it warmed up quickly.

I took some pictures of some of the vendors that are next to me each week~please come to Athens and see the talented items as well as the fresh produce. The Market will run thru October of this year and will kick off again in April of 2011.

The Athens Farmer’s Market is held each Saturday through October at Market Square (the city parking lot between the old jail and the Texan Theater), at 8:00 a.m. Come join local peddlers to purchase locally grown vegetables and handcrafted items. On the fourth Saturday of each month, participate in various contests. Not sure what came over me last week, but I was in the mood for some serious organizing! I vowed not to spend so much time on the computer and clean up my designing area. My little house doesn't have much room to make things, but I do have lots of places to store my supplies. The summer heat has set in and I haven't been motivated to get organized again.

While I was cleaning and brainstorming about my business and trying to survive financially without a real job~I started my baking again. Since my divorce many years ago, I haven't really been baking a lot. The holidays were always very festive and the entire house was decorated. My famous decorated cookies were also a huge hit! So, I decided to start my cookies again...however, upon looking and still needing to unpack my boxes from moving~the cookie cutters aren't in my house. Therefore, I have to buy cookie cutters all over again..yikes!! My mission began with a princess crown cutter~because I am fascinated with crowns and royalty. I added a new recipe with snickers candy bars~already gotten several orders also. And the buttermilk pie was a success too~Devin had 2 pieces the first night.

I also managed to make 2 necklaces, 8 bracelets and some baby bows and headbands...told you I was busy! Oh, and all the school shopping also wore me out.

Saturdays' Athens Farmers' Market was slow again this week..the heat is really hurting the market. I got sick right after I got home and was sick until late Sunday evening~heat exhaustion, I suppose. This week will be slower for me~decided I did too much last week and need to rest a bit.

I finished these beautiful necklaces this week and struggled what to put them on~for now I simply added a cream colored faux pearls.

But, if you purchase them, you may easily add them to your favorite necklace or chain. I may have to consider keeping the crown for myself~hard to part with....

First Athens Farmers Market

I stayed up until 11pm last night, putting on the last minute touches to my already packed boxes. The excitement probably played a huge part in my NOT being able to sleep.

At 4:42 am, I woke up out of a dead sleep and stared at the clock for another hour, until time to really get up. We set up the tent and was officially ready for business at 7:45. The vendors around me were already making sales and selling those tomatoes!! The man next to me already sold quite a bit by 8am....WOW!!

The crowd was huge for the first Saturday~hot, but many came sporting umbrellas and didn't seem to be phased by the heat. I couldn't seem to get enough liquids down me!!! Someone had peach tea, and I believe that's what I will take with me next Saturday. The water didn't quite cut it for me....

My parents arrived just before 10am and some vendors were already sold out!!! My tomato neighbor pulled out just before then~sold out!! I didn't get to venture out and see everything, but there were peaches, plums, herbs, breads, homemade goodies just across from me, marinara, FREE sunflower planting for the kiddo's, wine, hairbows, bottle cap necklaces, watermelon, pampered chef had some demo's...And of course my beautiful jewelry! I am sure there were lots of goodies around the people playing music~just didn't get to walk over there. It was pretty crowded!! And did I mention, HOT!!!

Overall, it was a great first Saturday, and we will be out there every Saturday thru October. Thank you to my new friends, and new customers!! Gotta get started on the custom orders.....

When I heard that Athens was going to begin a Farmer's Market, I was so thrilled to finally have a way to share my stuff with my new neighbors!! I called and requested the information, and received it today. And even more excited to discover that the kick off celebration was moved up a week!! Yipee!!

I tried so hard to get to Mesquite yesterday to set up my booth before the Holiday weekend~barely made it to The Antique Gallery of Mesquite. It rained for most of the way there (from Athens), and just as we got inside with the bucket of pink paint and brush~the rain followed us.

Half way through painting (and boy was it humid inside)....the paint dried too fast and began to clump. Oh boy!! Did I ever pick a bad day to move my stuff~a flood came outside. Thank goodness I packed my goodies in boxes and nothing got ruined!!

I managed to get what I could into the booth....with the excitement of moving in and the hectic house with all the kids~I still have more stuff to stock in my spot!! Anway, that can wait for next week!! I simply wanted to get something into the booth as I promised to everyone...check out what I have so far....Like I said, more to come after the July 4th weekend.

Good morning ladies!!! I am so excited and haven't been able to sleep much the last 2 days. Two days ago, I signed a new lease in Mesquite.

Do you remember the Dusty Attic? Well, the owners of The Antique Gallery of Mesquite has leased the building and is quickly filling up booths. My mom already got a prime location on the 3rd end cap in the front. (look for her black and white polka dot booth) They tried to open on June 1,~but the City of Mesquite took a long time approving permits, etc. Therefore, they officially began selling wares last Tuesday.

Many of the same Antique dealers have already resumed their previous booths. And there is plenty of empty good spots, if you are a vendor looking to lease a space. We spent many years shopping there when it was the Dusty Attic and eating at that wonderful tea room! As of this week, they are still looking for someone to run the tea room and the entire room that is just in front....I hope it's someone with great Chicken Salad Sandwiches...again!

Look for my grand opening this weekend~July 4th weekend!! I am currently tagging merchandise that hasn't been posted here or featured on my online boutique. I know it comes with owning a business, but I don't post everything because so many people "copy" so many of our ideas. I put my funky touch on just about everything~that's why I reach for the stars to make mine unique!!

Simply Glowing Gifts will be on an end cap in the middle of the store (on the previous craft side)...just next to the boutique BeBe's Unique Boutique. The duo has a lot of stuff like I have, but tons more. Too scared to make a leap and rent a huge space like they have~just yet!!

Grandmother's Surgery

I haven't been online in the past week or so...my grandmother tore a ligament in her left knee and required surgery. She went in last Friday morning and was back at home that afternoon. Thank God everything was a success!! Nannie was a bit drowsy that evening and was already up and around by the next day.

My mom was here to help as well~we sure will miss her and all her delicious home cooking!! Mom left last night and took Christopher with her. The past few days were spent laughing about the good ole` days, the jokes we played on each other and browsing thru cookbooks to find new dishes to prepare. We had a great time!!

I did manage to re-arrange my kitchen and it looks larger now~have to post some pics soon!

Once again this month, I am NOT selling at Canton Trade Days. My children's father decided to change up summer visitation this year, therefore, I have my kiddo's instead. We will probably head out there to shop~wanted to go today....but, don't you just love waiting for 2 days for a plumber to show up!!

For some reason Athens residents have a difficult time getting any contractors to show up to do home repairs. My grandparents live next to me and have lived here for over 15 years and have had so many companies refuse to show up for jobs that won't make them the big bucks!! It's really sad, because elderly and single moms (like me) really need someone to show up and NOT take advantage of people financially. We had a company that showed up yesterday and to replace 1 pipe and put the sink in...they wanted over $ 500.00. My grandfather already did the hard work by removing my sink and getting everything prepared and they want that kinda $$...is insane!!! So, I wait patiently for the only company reliable...Cedar Creek Plumbing....well, they were supposed to be here this morning...still waiting!!!! Please hurry up!!!

So, in the meantime, I am busy working on more "stuff"...got an order for a baby boy and some wedding albums. And hopefully I will get an inside spot at Canton soon....it's too hot for outside~

Texas Longhorn rings

While I was visiting/shopping at the Rockwall Aspasians last weekend, I ran across these cute pieces to make jewelry out of...always on the prowl for products to add to my inventory of goodies to sell!!

I used the black and white cow prints and made a fashionable ring!! Oh, and of course had to add the rhinestone Texas Longhorn~Hook em' Horns!!!!

Tilo's Cuisine & Bakery

Since I was sick last week for my 40th Birthday (last week), my grandparents are taking me to one of my favorite restaurants for lunch today...Tilo's Cuisine and Bakery. It is in Athens and located at 607 East Tyler~the atmosphere is much like a tea room and be sure and stop by on Sunday's to check out the desserts!! If you love sweets, you really need to check it out!! They have a wonderful buffet or you can order from the menu~chicken enchiladas are great too!!

I plan on my weekly stroll thru Winnie & Tulula's on the way back home....they are going to open a tea room near the end of May~I can't wait!!

Fleur de Lis scented candles

Everyone is bugging me to death about makin' my heavenly scented candles again....I have had so much fun making jewelry lately. For months now, I have been in a funk about my products and so frustrated by everyone selling the same products!! Chunky jewelry is everywhere!! Everyone is copying each other and it makes me sick to my stomach!!!

And I think that several people have copied my designs on my domino necklaces~that really makes me mad! When we ventured out to Aspasians this past weekend, a vendor had the same styles that I make. If I hadn't known any better, you would've thought that it was my booth and I paid someone to run it for me. This is VERY frustrating to me!!

For the past few months I have been working on a totally new look for my products. Anyone that knows me would confirm that I do NOT like to be like anyone else, nor like anyone to copy my ideas. Therefore, I have decided to go back to designing candles more and lay off the jewelry~I think everyone has seen enough of the "Chunky Jewelry"...

I hope you enjoy my candles as much as I do!!! Creme' Brulee is my favorite!!!

I was invited to 2 Christmas parties last night, but my plans quickly changed by my x not being able to pick up his children. Oh, well, what else is new. So, me and the boys stayed up late and Devin helped me go thru some more boxes to find more gingerbread men for the house. I have been collecting them for years and this year they have finally become popular~they are everywhere. But, since there are so many new things out there, I decided not to buy anything this year~too much to choose from.

Santa's Elf

Every year on December 1st..Mr. Elf shows up in our home. My kids are very excited to see him arrive and look forward to this day and ask me where he might pop up at..I reply, you never know. So, when their sleepy eyes wake up on this day...the hunt is on to find out where he is!!

Each morning, he is in a different location~keeping a watchful eye on who has been naughty and nice. Then on Christmas Eve..he disappears back to the North Pole to report to Santa who has been good this year!!

I love this tradition that I started many, many years ago. And although my children are now teenagers, they still look forward to Mr. Elf's arrival. Devin, is still young (8) and trying to hang on as long as I can to continue the spirit of Santa Clause~there is always a questionable surprise to make ALL wonder in our home.

I welcome any of you with young children to follow this tradition~it's quite helpful and fun!!

Good morning everyone!! Since I am now somewhat settled in my new home, it was time to get my website up and running again. Please bare with me as I add my wares to my online boutique. I have enough "stuff" to open up my own store. That is my dream again to have what I had many years ago...but, it's babysteps for now.

It's cold and wet this morning~and not very encouraging to do housework. Therefore, I have dedicated a few hours to my business. Juliet (my kitty), is cold too. December Canton Trade Days

I am set up just outside the Arbors (near the red brick restrooms), row 34 , booth 377. As usual look for the tan booth with the hot pink tulle hanging in the front. I debated upon going yesterday, it was cold!! And the outside customers didn't venture much into the outside vendor area. Too bad...that's where the better deals are folks!!

I made some new friends (new vendors) and am going to stick it out (even though it's cold). Stop by and see the new domino pendants and new for this month~POKER CHIP PENDANTS. Some are designed with your initial, others are just plain cute and some even have precious stones hanging off of them~they are truly unique!! And too bad for those who missed them, they won't be around for long!!

Black Friday 2009

Did you survive yesterday's Black Friday?? Well, ours started out slowly. My mom and I spent the night at my sisters' home in Mansfield...got to bed early to get a jump start on those sales. But, the morning didn't go as planned. My mother was very ill with a migraine and had to be taken home so that my dad could take her to the E.R. My sister and I proceeded with our shopping and checked in periodically to see how what the Dr's concluded.

We scored what was left of the $2.00 video's at Walmart and the cute Twilight hoodies that were $ 7.00 each..We love the Twilight Saga!! Then it was time for Target...electronics were scarce and the sale movies were history. But, we did manage to pick up some items there~can't reveal in case my kiddo's are snooping around on mom's blog. Best Buy was next on our tour...the sale movies (again) are gone!! Which explains why people camped out on the doorsteps the night before. Movies looked like a big hit yesterday!! T.V.s were still there, but the home theatre stuff shelves were empty. Which is what I was looking for...Santa came early for us!!! Kids will be surprised when they get home tomorrow night!! Next stop was Kirklands...that was a huge mistake!! I wanted everything for myself, but I did score some bargains for someone...

We seriously wanted to sneak off and see New Moon, but the teen girls are waiting on us...so it's back to the house for lunch and pick up. Now, it's time for Sheplers...gotta get those Miss Me jeans!! Can you believe that they had less than 10 pairs~the biggest shopping day of the year and they have peanuts to chose from!!!! The only bargain I found was a $120.00 t-shirt...loaded with swarvoski crystals for $9.99. What a deal!! Hello Cavenders's here we come. They had tons of Miss Me jeans and their clearance shirts were marked down cheap, then 50% off of that!! Again, we loaded up!!

And we decided to be really brave and hit the mall~well didn't see anything there and the lines were too long. So, we left to hit some specialty boutiques and I found the cutest purse for my daughter and any Longhorn fan out there. This was my fav find for the day!! How was your shopping experience?

Thanksgiving Week

It's sad to say that I am bored already!!! My kiddo's are gone with their fathers' house for the holiday week. Yesterday, I purchased some new materials and spent hours designing new bracelets. They turned out so cute!!!

I also have been working on more dominoes...they are very popular. As always, I dare to be different and it shows in my work. The greatest compliment is that I am so talented, because I design ALL of my products. I am the hand~made queen!!! My goal is to have another store someday, but I need help getting there. Being a single mom is a job in itself.

This week will be dedicated to getting my items together for First Monday on Dec. 3rd-6th. Oh, there is so much to do!! I have so many knitted hats to decorate~it's not even funny!!! I could open a store with just hats and scarves!! Really....Craft stuff has taken over my house. Speaking of my house...time to plan an open house sale for December also.

Womens' knitted hats

This grey hat is absolutely my fav!!! My grandmother makes them for me to sell~I decorate with crocheted flowers, satin ribbon, adorable buttons and of course bling!! Each one is unique and are available decorated or plain jane. Our inventory continues to grow (along with matching scarves). Sizes available from newborn (no scarf for a newborn), toddlers-child, adult.

They are also a hit with students!!! We have made custom school colors and designs. Watch for us at Canton First Monday Trade Days~just outside the Arbor buildings in a tan tent full of colorful bliss.

Backyard needs some decorating...

I haven't had too much extra time to do much of anything besides unpack, organize, hunt for lost items in boxes..oh, and the list for the totally lost. My house is really cute, and can't wait to get started tweaking it to my style. The people who owned it before me loved wallpaper, so in the meantime I will have to make due with the "blue" in the kitchen, breakfast room and living room. I especially love my house because it's just perfectly sized..not too big, nor too small to clean real quickly.

I have ventured to some of the local shops to see what I can do to decorate my backyard. I have furnishings for the inside, but nada for outside. The backyard is really good sized and manicured just perfectly~but, there is no color right now. All along the fence line there used to be beautiful gardens last Spring and I can't wait to get started next season. Time to break out the decorating books!! Can anyone give some ideas? I don't think I will do anything until after the Holidays, but for me it takes a long time to decide what I want!!

Fall in Athens, Texas is a colorful site to see. Hay bales, pumpkins, gourds and scarecrows abound around the town square. People come from all over the state to take family pictures. So come on down and tour the square and shop in our shops. Don't forget to visit the scarecrow trail at the Arboretum.

Adorable Knits

My grandmother is a wonderful blessing in my life!! She has been knitting forever..seems like it anyway. She has made baby blankets, afghans, pot holders...you name it. Last year she began working on hats and scarves for baby, tots, children and of course adults. No we have so many items, we don't know what to do with them. They were a huge hit last year selling just as they were.

This season I have added my twist to the hats...our customers are going crazy (as well as folks that buy wholesale for their shops!). They aren't making it very far out the door, as soon as I design them and show them to someone, they are sold quickly!! Which is great!!! The ones featured are available and will be with me at this weekends Canton Trade Days~hope to see you there!!

Halloween Jewelry

I finally found my USB cord...so now, it's time to post like crazy!! I am so stressed out trying to get ready for Canton Trade days this weekend~is a gal ever ready??

Anyhoo..here is a sample of what I will be taking this weekend for my Halloween collection. My son, Devin (he's 8 years old)~actually designed some of the "spooky" halloween domino's . He loves to help Mommy and I truly appreciate his contribution. Actually, he is pretty good too!!

Custom Cards

After years of collecting scrapbook supplies to "find" time to work on my childrens' scrapbook has become useful in other ways. Last summer we were bored and decided to use all our stuff to make custom cards...it soon became a group effort. Also a great way to brighten up a rainy day!!

All the little girls (and boys..but I won't give their names) in the neighorbood soon gathered at my kitchen table to put their creative minds to work. Simply buy some cards, glue, paper, stickers, markers and let the imagination run wild. Most of our stuff came from Dollar Tree~yes, that is me that keeps wiping out the supplies. I can say, that I am quite impressed!!

A few more shadow box necklaces

As I was thumbing through my things, I realized I had 3 shadow box necklaces left. Each ones' shadow box is flat and opens on one side, so that you can add your own pictures or designs. Both sides are decorated~so if it flips while wearing it, you'll have some color on each side.

Earlier this month I sold these two domino necklaces that turned out simply gorgeous. The pink princess domino I sprayed with a silver glitter overlay and topped with a rhinestone crown. A beautiful little girl quickly snagged it for herself...oh, and mom managed to get some haute princess couture as well~she bought the other one shown. I enjoy making my pieces unique to fit just about anyones' personality.

Fall designs

The kids are back in school and we survived the dog days of summer. And yes, it's still hot!! Life has become complicated in my home again and need to stay focused on the big picture. Designing anything is a great stress relief for me and I try and make my items different from everyone else's to reflect my funky flair.

I hope you enjoy looking at my latest domino necklaces~I know that they have been popular for quite some time. My youngest son has been making some Halloween designs that I can't wait to share with everyone in the next few days as soon as I can locate my USB cord. With 4 kids, it's almost something.

Hometime Candle Company

My business began as a hobby the Spring of 1999 with just 8 fragrances. I simply made up several dozen candles in basic fruit jars, made up some cute labels and invited family and friends for a sample sale. At that time, my husband came up with the name~because Hometime was his favorite show.

Immediately following the sale, I was flooded with re-orders and realized I had a business on my hand. Then came the special orders for favorite scents and colors and the list was quickly growing...as well as customers.

By the fall, I began selling at local craft shows and had expanded to around 50 fragrances. My mom is also talented and added her florals designs to the shows.

By 2002~I had a store where we offered over 100 fragrances via retail, wholesale, fundraisers, consignments, distributors, Dallas Market Center, private shows, Canton Trade Days...well, the works!! All managing 4 small children along for the ride~it wasn't easy and my marriage was slowly crumbling from all the time I devoted to my dream!!

I had expanded to goatsmilk soaps, lotions, gift sets, home decor items, room essence, seasonal merchandise, albums, shabby chic items~basically anything I could rescue and turn into a gem for my customers.

2005 came and my divorce was in full force and made a name change for my company.

Simply Glowing Gifts was born!! Now, we have added to our line~jewelry, gift tags, hand~made, custom cards, hand~painted signs, handbags, designer velvet pillows, hand~knitted hats/scarves, blankets...well you get the picture.

Two weeks ago, I moved back to Rowlett. It's great to be back home and around loved ones. However, I was a bit upset to see so many of my favorite specialty shops now gone. The economy has really taken its toll. My fav's at The Harbour are gone..you will be missed dearly!!

I finally found a myspace background that I simply love! And for some reason it won't show up... I have always loved shabby chic decor, but with children it's hard to decorate with light colors. My decor style has been a hodge podge all throughout the house...kitchen french country with black, white/cream, brick red, mustard, the master bedroom, living and dining have been tradtional. Now, my bedroom is black, white and pink~slowly moving in that direction. When my kids get a little bigger~this dream will become a reality.

Today was a wet, miserable day...and with the bad weather, a slight chill set in and had to grab my jacket for the latter part of the afternoon. The morning was filled with my usual volunteering for a local organization. It is very rewarding to be able to help others in need. I, myself and children fall in the same category~but are most fortunate for our life's blessings.

When I got done, I struggled to keep the car on the road for the heavy downpouring rain. After a late lunch, I headed out the door to see if I could find some treasures at the antique mall down the street. I have started a list of the things I need to get back into full swing of my business~just need some $$.

The kiddo's are gone this weekend. My sisters' neighborhood in Mansfield (the Arbors) is having their annual family garage sales...please don't miss it!! There are tons of great designer clothes (all ages) at cheap prices!!! Last year, I got some adorable French Country accents for my kitchen for around 50 cents each!! What a bargain!! I plan on selling my jewelry out there...weather permitting of course~

Easter 2009

This year, our family was separated for Easter. With the growing family and things being so busy, everyone decided to celebrate within their own homes.

The girls went to my mom's and sister's home, (they are getting too old to hunt eggs) the boys and I had an egg hunt in the house. The day was cold, wet and miserable, but thank you Michele for the chicken!! Their other Granny made us a bunny cake...it was delicious!!

I've been in a funk for the past month and can't seem to get back into the swing of things. Having all of my stuff in storage has been bad, since I can't create anything!! (anybody want to help me dig thru my boxes?)

The past 2 months without my supplies, I've been daydreaming on the net and spending a lot of time on myspace and facebook~catching up with friends I haven't heard from since high school.

But, the best part is that I am closer to my favorite shopping destination...downtown McKinney!!!!

Well, I can see that it's gonna be another rough week. The kids spent the long weekend with their father and came back with tons of cooties!!! But, the school has notified me that some type of stomach bug is going around...2 kids down last week...today, it's my other son!!

It's too cold to get anything done around the house. I tried to do some laundry and work on some more jewelry~but neither happened.

Oh, well, maybe tomorrow will be a better day! Hobby Lobby has scrapbook paper on sale!!

"Cool" hand~made domino necklaces

The ever popular domino bracelets are a huge hit...I have been busy creating my own designs for the past few weeks. Everytime I have a new one, it sells before I can even snap a picture of it to share with you guys!! I promise to take a picture after each one embellished.

They are all used with various materials...some papers, stickers (all acid free, of course!), rub-ons, stamps...never know what I will come up with next. The best way to be updated is to view my goodies on my website. I am busy adding items everyday...making about 5-7 pieces per day...

McKinney Trade Days

I have been selling my items at the McKinney Trade Days for the last 2 months. And I am excited about this new venture. I have already made new vendor friends and really enjoy the new customers that I have acquired.

Fridays are great days for moms' to shop! This month was very slow, and probably due to the cold front that was due in the afternoon. About 4:30~it was like a hurricane had hit. The winds were unbelievable and Saturday was bitterly cold for everyone. Sunday was excellent and was very crowded.

As usual, I scored some deals for myself to design and pics will be coming as soon as I get them completed.

December will be exciting for us~many new items are being designed for our shoppers! Hope to see you there....stop by and see me...booth is Y8 and near the back side of the shopping area.

Hurricane Ike

First of all, my thoughts and prayers go out to all who were affected by Hurricane Ike. I started to get pretty emotional when I saw the pictures of the destruction in my home state, Texas.

Brittany & I spent the weekend home alone. It rained so much yesterday, we couldn't really get out an do anything fun. I almost booked an outside show for Saturday, and a little voice told me not to sign up~always listen to your inner voice!! So, I went shopping at Michaels to get the supplies needed to complete my necklaces for next weekends' show. I made 10 necklaces~maybe it should rain more often~so I can get some work done.

We did get drenched, we ventured out to the library to get some movies to watch to keep us occupied. A few friends wanted me to go out~but when it rains, this baby stays inside. I am not afraid to get wet or anything, just don't like to drive in the rain.

Last year I attended many shows and saw the craze for custom cards. So, you know me~I had to try it out for myself!! All the years worth of scrapbook supplies just sitting in their storage containers and no time to finish scrapbooks for 4 kids! Who has the time anymore?

Anyhoo...I soon learned that this is yet another addiction!! Like I need another project! My house looks like a craft/hobby shop. I just wished that I had an entire room just to design~instead of my kitchen table...maybe someday my prince charming will arrive and buy me a bigger house so I can fulfill my dream!!!

Monthly Open House

Every month...I hold an open house selling my latest creations. August was a bit slower than last year. Probably due to high fuel costs and being close to back to school, since it fell on tax free weekend.

The popular items for the month were Lavender bath salts, the funky frames and the girly items. Everybody loved my new unique creations~sold before I could even take some pictures. Oh well, just means I have to make more....

This months' sale will be held on September 26 & 27 (10--5). A week later than planned due to the show schedule.

Well, the kiddo's are back in school and it's been quite peaceful. I have out looking for a part-time job, since I lost my job earlier this year. Since gas is so expensive, most of my searches are done online and since employers can't see you..it's difficult to get any job.

Today, I am focusing on cleaning the house and getting ready for a huge garage sale. I have tons of kid clothes to get rid of...cheap!!! Hopefully, I can be ready for this saturday..sometimes it's a gamble to have a sale on a holiday weekend. But, I am broke and need to clear out my house.

Help... Against Domestic Violence

Yes, I have been busy these past few months. The position I had for the last couple of years was eliminated following a company buy out. Leaving a single mom having a hard time trying to make ends meet to provide for 4 children. It ain't easy sister...let me tell you!! I have had to swallow my pride and rely on government assistance...or starve to death. My ex-husband is a year behind in child support, and getting help from the State has been nothing but a series of headaches and disappointments. After filing in May, and calling everytime they "do" something, a demand for payment has been set in October for "him" to appear in court. Please pray for a miracle~either pay the years' worth of support or relinquish his rights!!

Despite all the financial difficulties, I remain positive (through lots & lots of prayer)!! And somehow I make it thru every month. Looking for a real job, has turned up hopeless...really hard to find anything that will pay enough, let alone even get a call for an interview for a $6.00/hr position.

Only God knows what is in my future and I rely on my faith for guidance. For those who don't know me personally...my former husband was very abusive~mental and physical. After 12 years and each day getting worse, the day he laid a finger on my child~out the door he went. I didn't care how we had to survive, living in a safe, non-violent home is much more important for all of us!

With all that said~my pink "Faith" candle has become the inspiration to women in my shoes to make a change in their lives. The 8 oz. Pink Cross Rhinestone Tumbler is filled with the popular fragrance of...Beautiful....because that's what we are to our children! Yes, I realize that purple represents the color for this cause~I love the color of pink because it is pure, peaceful, uplifting and represents a girl.

Sage & Chocolate Grace Plate

My living room is decorated in the colors of sage, hunter, burgundy, plum and chocolate. Last Fall, I found this idea from a show that I attended by decorating serving plates (platters). I thought it was very cute...and the combinations are endless of how you can design them. My "Funky Frames"

Being creative is sometimes quite expensive~I live in the hobby/craft shops and buy all the magazines for my inspirations. Much sleep is lost thinking about what I can do that is unique, funky, different and cute all at the same time that others will enjoy as much as I do! And it never fails that what you design is the wrong color scheme for your interested customer~turning into a custom order...and I simply love it. Being able to share my treasures puts a smile on my face~even if I didn't make a big profit.

Here are the 2 funky frames that I have made so far...hand~painted and embellished with adorable papers and rhinestones...all come with a satin hanger!

Well, it's been a month since I have had a real break from all 4 kiddos. It's not easy taking care of them alone ....

So, what does a single woman do when she gets a break....nada!!! Or at least this one operates that way. The house will always be a wreck and piles of dishes & laundry will be there no matter what! I sometimes wished little elves would come in the night to help me with chores. Or at least prepare my dinner for one night...I haven't been pampered in a long, long time.

No, seriously...when I do get a break~I have been introduced to Primo's Tex Mex Grille in Garland (by the Bass Pro Shop)....that has been the Tuesday night hang out with the gals. Or at least until school starts anyway. I like going here because there are people that are close to my age and you can relax outside overlooking the lake..wished I had a boat again.

Another place I frequent is Weekends~yes, I stay close to home...(lake ray hubbard). Here, you get to enjoy 2 clubs in 1 and they always feature local bands that are really good!

Now, keep in mind that bars aren't my thing at all, just a place to hang out with my girlfriends on occasion. My true hang~outs are: Canton Trade Days, antique shopping, specialty shops, staying at a bed n breakfast, eating at a good family owned restaurant (mexican food fav), a good tea room for my favorite chicken salad sandwich...DovesNest in Waxahachie!! Or I will just hop in the car and cruise to Downtown McKinney for a day of R & R....now you know a little more about me...

Don't forget it's tax free weekend~get your kiddo's ready for school in style. I am so glad to see that Walmart is carrying L.E.I. jeans & tee's now...$ 20.00 or less!! And much more reasonable so that single mom's can afford to make their $$ stretch.

Target has cute t~shirts for boys and girls: Hanna Montana, Hello Kitty, Guitar Hero and Rockband for $ 6.99~all my kids' want to wear to be comfortable. They also have Hanes' undies, etc for buy 1 get 1 free~stocked up for my troops.

It's been a fast summer, but I can't wait to get my kids back in school!!! I'm tired...
